I am convinced (having attended Bible College) that most of them exist to prove what their denomination believes. There is (and was for me) great value in attending (it is where I fell in love with Scripture) but it is not a place that welcomes being challenged with questions and viewpoints outside the already accepted beliefs of the organization. Sadly, this is also true of most churches.
